Why Environmentalists Should Donate to Women’s and Family-Planning Organizations

If you've been following me for more than a year, you've probably picked up on how important I think donations are, relative to personal lifestyle changes.

Yes, you should absolutely do your personal best to create less waste, eat responsibly-sourced food, and decrease your greenhouse gas emissions. But on balance, if you have a limited amount of time and money, it's more effective to donate that time and money toward nonprofits addressing environmental and systemic racism issues, than to stress yourself out trying to be perfect, or blow your budget on expensive fair trade clothing.
