The weather is so good, I’ve just been itching to do my spring shopping.

And I don’t mean spring shopping as in, “OMG BUY EVERYTHING!” I mean spring shopping in the sense that after you’ve done your seasonal closet switch out, you’re noticing a few holes in your wardrobe, some things that are worn out and need replacing, and there are some slow-burning trends you would like to pick up on, like crop tops, bomber jackets, and that particularly happy shade of orange.

So I’ve gone through every sustainable and ethical website worth knowing looking for pieces that could find a home in your wardrobe. None of these are “must-haves.” (What fashion is? Please.) No, they’re just lovely items that will bring a smile to your face, make you stand up taller, and put a pep in your step. And when your lady friends say, “How cute! Where did you get that watercolor top?” You can tell them the story of the maker who lovingly crafted it.

A few things to note:

1. These items are all from brands and stores that care. But they have varying degrees of sustainability and ethicality. Some are just slow fashion made in the U.S. Some are made of eco-friendly materials in other countries. Some have an artisinal component but are made of conventional materials. Click through and–like the curious consumer I know you are–do a bit of digging to make sure you are comfortable with your purchase.

2. Not all of these items are brand new this season. But I don’t believe in seasons beyond indicators of how warm it is outside. I believe in “Stuff I Like That Looks Good.” And if it’s from last year, then you’re getting it on sale and don’t be a snot about it!

3. I apologize for the lack of diversity. Brands, designers and retailers: Maybe start using a wider range of models than just white? Thanks.

Ok, without further ado, my favorite spring things available right this moment on the interwebs:
