Of Course the Beauty and Well Being Event Would Be So Pretty

Beauty and Well Being is an NYC-based blog that features interviews with notable women, recipes, rituals and advice, all with a French accent. The founder, Clemence von Mueffling, was a cosmetics professional before turning her chic hand to a blog. She draws from a pedigreed background, her mother and grandmother both being beauty editors at the French Vogue.

Last night she invited friends and press to an event at the office of Vênsette, a makeup, hair and nails service that makes house calls. (Not all their products are non-toxic, but you can provide your own if you prefer.) The guests – who almost all were leggy and fashionable enough to look like living, breathing fashion illustrations – were treated to manicures with the non-toxic (and French) nail polish Kure Bazaar, massages, coupes de champagne, and coconut water while quietly chatting in lilting French accents.

Sunset over Manhattan
Vênsette is located on the 17th floor of a building near Union Square, with unobstructed views of downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn

I took the opportunity to check out some of the vendors at the event. My favorite were these prayer bead necklaces by Jai Mala Rose. The beads are crafted from dried rose petals, which release the scent of roses as they smooth themselves against your skin from wear.
