Green Beauty Review: John Master Organics Sea Mist Salt Spray with Lavender

I’m occasionally talked into a mousse here, or a texturizing spray there, but the fate of every new promising hair product is the same: a slow lingering in the half-used product graveyard of my bathroom cabinet before I freak out about not achieving my minimalist dreams and finally, with a guilty heart, dispose of it.
My hair is fine, thin, and wavy. It’s not like I consider it cursed hair, but it is a tricky balance. Most products are too heavy. The products that don’t weigh the four hairs on my head down often have a nasty side effect, such as flattening out all-natural curl when I’m just attempting a simple volume boost.
Though I am usually quick to admit defeat, I knew Alden had great success with John Masters Organics Green Tea and Calendula Leave-in Conditioning Mist Spray [Note from Alden: Seriously, I do love that stuff] so I was stoked to give John Master Organics Sea Mist Salt Spray with Lavender a shot! I’m so glad I did because it appears that a little sea salt was the key to helping my locks achieve Blake Lively mermaid hair status.
The Sea Mist Salt Spray contains three wholesome ingredients: water, sea salt, and organic lavender oil. It’s got a charming seaside scent and is a cinch for hairstyle dummies, like myself, to use. To gain the most bodacious beach wave possible, I sprayed damp hair before bedtime and let it air dry overnight. Results were big hair that needed some finessing in the morning. Spraying damp hair in the morning made for a more subtle look, as it made my mind-of-its-own strands more uniform. I also loved spraying dry roots to perk up lifeless hair throughout the day. Even for a hair product dummy like myself, it’s a super versatile little spray.
I found that using the sea salt spray daily to be a bit drying, so a finishing product ensured that my newly texturized hair didn’t transform from bouncy waves into a nest of sad straw. Like Alden, I was a fan of a John Masters Organics Green Tea and Calendula Leave-in Conditioning Mist Spray for the healthy, glossy sheen and necessary added moisture.
I’d rate John Master Organics Sea Mist Salt Spray with Lavender with Lavender a solid A and, especially when paired with John Masters Organics Green Tea and Calendula Leave-in Conditioning Mist Spray.
