I track my time down to the minute every day. I’ve sorted it into different “clients,” which include EcoCult, some outlets I freelance write for, the Ethical Writers Coalition, Girls Write Now, Wedding Planning, and personal stuff. This week, I added Activism under “personal.” It is so important and valuable to me, and it deserve recognition as an activity that is worth slotting into my day, instead of lost time.
So far, I can tell you that this week I’ve spent about 15 minutes a day sending faxes, calling, and signing petitions. I know that our best chance to save this world is by blocking Pruitt from being confirmed as EPA head, to communicate to our leaders how important the environment is to us, to organize.
How have you been an activist this week? Let me know in the comments.
