Floral Wreath Workshop with Molly Oliver Flowers
Join sustainable farmer/florist Molly Culver of Molly Oliver Flowers and Urban Farmer Deborah Greig for a hands on floral wreath making workshop using dried flowers! You’ll learn how to create a decorative wreath perfect for November home decorating, how to source locally grown flowers, what flowers dry best, and how to dry flowers for optimal quality, color and longevity. Each participant will get to take home their handmade floral wreath. All materials and cozy fall refreshments included.

Nest is a nonprofit bringing transparency, data-driven business development and widespread industry advocacy to global artisans and homeworkers. They empower women with the right to increased economic opportunity while preserving the world’s most treasured traditions of craftsmanship. There will be cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an incredible silent auction featuring support from their brand partners and friends, all to help raise awareness and funds for Nest’s global work with artisans.

Fabscrap is a new company taking aim at the tons of scrap waste coming out of the New York fashion industry. On Thursday night, Project Runway Fashion Startup will feature Fabscrap as one of the pitched businesses! The following night, founder Jessica is hosting a screening/fundraiser, with popcorn, drinks, and special guests from the show. I really believe in what she is doing, so I think you should go to this one, or donate from afar!
