For the extremely discerning fitness buff, Hock Design weights and other workout accessories are sustainably made and beautiful enough to take center stage in your living room, making your workout an enticing and luxurious endeavor. The brand's founder, Kristof Hock,
worked as a product manager in the fitness sector where he sourced thousands of cheap products from China and delivered them to Europe’s leading department stores. Discouraged by the extreme pollution and horrible working conditions in the cities were most fitness products were made, he created Hock Design. The weights and tools are made in chemical-free processes from walnut, grade 303 non-reactive stainless steel, and naturally tanned leather. Unlike standard fitness equipment made in China of toxic plastic and coated metal, Hock equipment will never release harmful chemicals when used and are coated in an entirely toxin free anti–bacterial oil.
The denim label Level 99 makes their jeans in the USA with the natural and sustainable textile Tencel, upcycled fibers, and eco-friendly dyes. Last month they announced carbon neutrality for the entire life of their Forever Black
and Forever White
collection. They are offsetting the CO2 generated through manufacturing and use of the product by investing in green projects that reduce greenhouse gases more than the carbon created in the entire lifespan
of the jean. So, they're, like, perfect?
