The Brooklyn Fashion+Design Accelerator presents “FASHION=ACTIVISM: Rethink, Reuse, Respect,” an exhibit featuring work by artists, emerging local brands and big apparel brands that are determined to change how we think about what we wear. Offering a counterpoint to the traditional New York Fashion Week runway shows and sponsored by Eileen Fisher and The North Face, the exhibit uses artifacts, garments, performance and media, to explore human rights, the impact of the industry on the environment and the need to support traditional cultures.
