Leading up to last weekend's Fashion Swap, I kept thinking, This is way too stressful. I'm never doing this again.

And then, I got to the venue and everything we needed – sparkling wine and Owl's Brew mixers and DJ equipment and rolling racks – had some how made it. And helpers started arriving, and DJ Tanja started playing her sexy beats. Then the swappers started showing up and some even pitched in to help put clothes on hangers and hang them up. Cocktails were being poured, hugs were given to old friends, and new friends were made.

The swap started, and the energy was so positive and excited. Just a half hour in and swappers were coming up to me, asking if we would have another one, showing me their finds with excitement. People emailed me after to rave about the amazing gift bag.

So yes, all the stress and planning was totally worth it. I hope I can remember all the fun and excitement and gratitude come fall, when we plan the whole thing again! (Sign up for the EWC email list so you know when tickets go on sale.)

Until then, check out the pictures from the swap:

The event was held in the studio/event/class space La Luz, which provides a great space for positive creative social gatherings. Andriana, left, is the owner, and was amazing to work with.
