Oh boy, was I pumped for Smorgasburg this Saturday. Everyone was calling for gorgeous spring weather, and the Best Food Fair Ever was moving operations outside.

As soon as I woke up Saturday morning I pulled on clothes and dragged my boyfriend out the door, salivating at the prospect of food munched under a gentle spring sky.

Nope.

It was cold. The sun was shining, but any warmth it might have imparted was swept away by a vicious wind. The wind also swept away plates of food, knocked over bottles of coke, shattering them on the ground, ripped signs off of the food tents, and made Smorgasburg way less fun than promised.

Still we got what we came for: food. We ate pigs in a blanket, lemon and ricotta fritters, a lobster roll, an octopus tostada, a bacon egg and cheese scallion pancake wrap, and finished it off with a Dun-Well donut. My favorite item of the day, though, was the hot ginger lemonade from the fritter stand, because man did I need it.

Still, even with my frozen fingers, I snapped some pics of the fashionables that showed up, just for fun. Gain some inspiration for your seasonal transition wardrobe:
