On Thursday, September 26th, the sustainable NYC community gathered at The Counting Room in Brooklyn to celebrate the launch of EcoCult. (A little late, but hey, a party is a party!)
Guests included designer Tara St. James of Study NY, the sustainable jeweler Delphine Leymarie, L. Condoms founder Talia Frenkel, green fashion blogger Emma Grady of Past Fashion Future, Well + Good NYC senior writer Lisa Held; sustainable jeweler Nettie Kent; Bloom Beauty Lounge owner Clarissa Malek, designer Francisca Pineda of Bhava shoes; perfumer Anne Sanford of LURK Natural Fragrances; LearnVest Editor in Chief Carrie Sloan; Inhabitat Senior Editor Yuka Yoneda, sustainable fashion blogger Juliette Donatelli of Spades + silk and EcoSalon, and Helpsy founder Rachel Kibbe.
This song was a particular hit on the dance floor.
Guests sipped two custom cocktail crafted with Prairie organic vodka by the Counting Room bartenders: The “Cult Cool-Aid” (prairie vodka, muddled strawberry, lemon, simple syrup, Regan’s orange bitters), and the “Don’t Resist” (cucumber-infused prairie vodka, cocchi americano, lemon, prosecco), and danced to beats by notable Brooklyn DJs Illich Mujica, Cry Baby and Ex Ex Ex until 1 in the morning.
At 11, I called off the winners of the raffle, which included items from rêve en vert, Design With Benefits, Holstee, Sheswai nail lacquer, LURK natural fragrances, Kaight, Il Buco, Modavanti and Threads for Thought. Guests who didn’t win still walked away with a stuffed gift bag of items by Papernomad, PACT, Lurk Natural Fragrance, Green Spaces, Yes nontoxic lubricant, Caru skincare, MyChelle Dermaceuticals, Primavera, S.W. Basics, L. Condoms, Juice Beauty, and vegan cookies by Ellary’s Greens. Several guests arrived in hybrid car service provided by GoGreen Ride.
