The eco-friendly lifestyle should always be a family affair, don’t you think?
Jessica Biel has joined up with her brother Justin to launch a new eco-friendly line of accessories name BARE. Inspired by world travels, exotic materials and the time- honored tradition of hand-craftsmanship in the United States, the bags are constructed from repurposed burlap coffee sacks sourced from local roasters, traditional Martexin charcoal waxed canvas and high-quality Weaver leather. No two bags are ever the same, so you can be sure you won’t be caught wearing the exact same one as your equally conscious bestie.
“Right away, I saw the value in the burlap coffee sacks, but most of all, I loved the story behind them,” says Lead Designer and Creative Director Grason Ratowsky. “Each bag seemed to have its own life. Most had traveled across the world, starting in some distant coffee production region, before being packed full of beans and then carried through jungles, down volcanoes and across oceans prior to getting here.”
Currently, BARE offers four designs: the Coban Foldover Clutch, Oaxaca Duffel, Salento Reversible Tote and Tacuba Rolltop Backpack. Prices range from $80-$320.
